About me
Juliet is the Director of Events at Project for Public Spaces where she produces online engagements and annual international conferences, including all of the organization's International Placemaking Weeks. Juliet is an urban geographer in practice and obtained her doctorate at Kings College London where her research focused on understanding the process of gentrification in historic neighborhoods. As a general lover of cities, Juliet is fascinated by the concept of "place." Growing up in sprawling, car-centric Los Angeles, she was always trying to understand what ingredients make for a healthy, functional, and inspiring city and observed that community participation and well-loved public spaces are a major part of that.
