The Afrikaanderwijk has its own strengths and challenges: it has the highest unemployment rate of Rotterdam, but it also has a lot of values, in Culture, Creativity and Craftmanship. These talents are deployed by the neighborhood cooperative in order to keep the benefits local. We'll walk through the neighbourhood, visiting the circular recycling station on the market which is run by the neighbourhood cooperative, and we'll visit the community garden.
